Your journey through motherhood, as God designed it.

Family-centered, life-affirming Midwifery care

To provide dignified healthcare, respecting Gods design for women and their natural abilities for birth and motherhood.

Our Mission

For Women. For Life.

We believe all life is sacred and our focus is on restoring the reverence of birth and God’s creation through community based, individualized care.

At Morning Star, physiologic birth isn't something you have to fight for. It's the foundation of our care.

We practice traditional midwifery by supporting normal physiology. We continually observe and evaluate the wellbeing of mother and baby with thoughtful assessment and skilled clinical judgment, offering guidance and recommendations where they are needed. From there, we work with each mother to understand her desires and thoughtfully shape a plan of care to support them.

Our role is not to make decisions for women, but to give them honest information, skilled guidance, and the time they need to make informed decisions for themselves and their babies.

As a Catholic practice, we believe every human life has inherent dignity and that motherhood is a vocation worthy of respect, preparation, and support.

Our services

  • Prenatal

Supporting women with attentive, personalized care rooted in traditional midwifery wisdom. We carefully follow the health of both mom and baby, attending to ongoing needs, while nurturing confidence and peace as they prepare for birth.

  • A woman holding a newborn baby during a water birth, with a person comforting her in a bathtub.

    Birth

We encourage families to choose the environment and approach that best honors their journey and empowers them to birth with confidence. Whether at home or in our birth center, we provide guidance and reassurance every step of the way.

  • A person wearing gray scrubs holding a newborn baby with dark, wet hair. The person's name tag reads 'Janelle Davidson, RN, Midwife.' The person is wearing a wedding ring and is sitting against a plain, light-colored wall.

    Postpartum

In the weeks following birth, we provide the reassurance and resources needed in the early days of motherhood. Our visits assess the wellbeing of both mother and baby, focusing on breastfeeding, healing, and newborn care.

“A child is God’s greatest gift to the family, to the nation, to the world. The child is a life from God, created in the image of God, created for great things, to love and to be loved.”
